The company was founded in 1983 by Greg Gardner as an independent building company on the Sunshine Coast. G.J. Gardner Homes grew to eight regional offices building up to 950 custom homes a year. The first franchise was opened in 1995. G.J. In 2006, Brook Swientisky was named Master Franchisor for G.J. Gardner Homes in Colorado and Wyoming, with offices based in the Inverness Business Park. Swientisky has 22 years of experience in the home building industry, including expertise in construction, real estate, and financing. As Master Franchisor, he is responsible for the strategic direction, franchise support and operations.
Before joining G.J. Gardner Homes, Swientisky owned and operated, a high-end building and remodeling company in Denver. Prior to running his own business, he served as vice president ofa national production home builder in Colorado. His responsibilities included management of master planned communities, land negotiations and development, golf course and facility construction, architectural and structural design, purchasing, sales, and marketing.
G.J. Gardner Homes opened Colorado franchise locations as a result of the area’s strong demand for high-quality, value-priced custom homes. Clients can provide their own plans or chose from approximately 100 existing home designs that can be customized to meet their needs. Home plans range in size from 1,200 square feet and up, with a construction time frame of three to five months. G.J. Gardner’s Five Star Performance Guarantee offers homebuyers a system of checklists and on-site inspections over the five major stages of construction. At the completion of each stage, clients are invited on-site to personally inspect the progress of their home with the local building supervisor.
G.J. Gardner Homes’ franchises are available throughout Colorado. Qualified licensed builders, or business entrepreneurs who partner with a licensed builder, can grow the franchise into a valuable, saleable asset.
